In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Kappa Iota Omega Chapter recently donated $250 to the Roanoke Valley Breast Cancer Coalition.
According to a press release, the coalition provides information and resources to Halifax County and neighboring counties through education, brochures, seminars, trainings, and talks to educate women and men about the importance of early detection and mammograms. A check was presented to Patricia Peele, RVBCC representative, to further support this initiative.
